– Scarborough has a lake in Peasholm Park where they feature one of the world’s longest-running shows,Ā The Naval Warfare! These run from JulyĀ to August and are a must-see on a visit to Scarborough.
– Scarborough originated from a 10th-century Viking fishing village, evolving into a medieval trading port, then into a fashionable spa town once its natural mineral spa waters were discovered.
– The original Scarborough Fair drew merchants from as far away as the Ottoman Empire in Europe and Asia. It survived for 430 years, last taking place in 1788. However, it is set to be revived as a reimagined year-long programme of events across the town!
