Tenby

Tenby is a uniquely attractive resort. Its pastel coloured buildings, narrow streets, fortified walls and the quality of the light from its shimmering bays give it an atmosphere which is reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Its medieval castle was bombarded into submission by Cromwell using artillery on both land and sea and the feeling of a town whose history is much richer than most seaside resorts is very strong as one ambles around the narrow streets.

Llandudno

Lying on a peninsula between the Great Orme and Little Orme Heads, Llandudno has two great beaches. The shingly North Shore (outside our hotel) is the busier of the two with its Victorian Pier & boat trips. The sandy west shore is quieter with spectacular views of nearby Snowdonia. A Victorian tramway and cable car offer routes to the summit of Great Orme with its fabulous views and fascinating wildlife. 

Porthcawl

Porthcawl lies on a beautiful stretch of coast with sandy beaches and rocky cliffs, yet is only a short drive from the fascinating cities of Cardiff and Swansea. Its picturesque seafront, golden sandy beaches, and welcoming atmosphere provide the perfect setting for a memorable getaway. The town’s promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll, lined with cafes, ice cream parlours, and stunning views of the Bristol Channel. Don’t miss a visit to the Porthcawl Museum, where you can delve into the town’s maritime history and its role in World War II.

Criccieth

Criccieth lies on the south coast of the Llyn Peninsula, where the edge of Snowdonia National Park meets the sea, with spectacular views over Cardigan Bay. The medieval castle, originally Welsh but later taken and reinforced by the Normans, dominates the town. The castle headland divides the seafront into two with a pebbly bay to the west and a sheltered mainly sandy bay to the east. This area of Wales is ideal for walking, from the gentle rolling hills of the Llyn Peninsula in the west to the soaring majesty of Snowdonia in the east with delightful gardens and castles at every turn.
