Building a sustainable future
|

|
More than 90% of our hotels now use 100% electricity from renewable sources. We’ve successfully reduced our carbon footprint by 25% in the last year, as shown in our AENOR certification.
|
|
|
As a result of the drought in recent years in Spain, we have implemented extraordinary measures to minimize the impact on aquatic environments, leading to a reduction in water consumption compared to the previous year across the country’s hotels.
|
|
|
Thanks to AI systems that optimise food production, we’ve reduced food waste by 35%, saving more than 300 tons of organic waste. Plus, our filtered water machines have reduced our glass bottle consumption by 2.8 million (50% of total consumption).
|
|
|
We’re working for local communities, implementing social projects tailored to the needs of each hotel location, donating clothing and food to foundations and hiring staff with disabilities to promote inclusion.
|
We’re cleaning up our beaches and forests to help maintain biodiversity: our Riviera Maya and Punta Cana resorts have been awarded Blue Flag certification, testament to their excellent environmental management.

|
- We plan to install over 9,500 photovoltaic solar panels across 13 establishments (11 in the Canary Islands and 2 in Punta Cana). This initiative will generate a total power of 5,650 kWp, which represents a 15% reduction in electricity consumption in these hotels.
|
- We’re continuing to commit to decarbonisation by replacing boilers with heat pumps in several establishments in the Canary Islands, achieving annual savings of 650 tons of CO2 emissions.
|
- We’re working on updating employees’ uniforms, replacing them with textiles made from recycled plastic.
|
- We’re also continuing to roll-out our AI system installations in more hotels so we can continue to reduce food waste.
