Are you traveling to France between July 18 and September 9, 2024? Air France offers a voluntary “Environment-sustainable aviation fuel” option when booking your ticket. We will exceptionally match your contribution during this period.

Every euro paid will be fully invested in the purchase of sustainable aviation fuel (known as SAF). They will help us to incorporate higher quantities of SAF on our future flights.

These fuels have become an essential lever in the aviation industry’s CO2 emissions reduction strategy. Made from non-fossil resources such as used oils or agricultural waste, they are a substitute for fossil fuel. The SAF selected by Air France reduces CO₂ emissions by at least 75% over the fuel life cycle – from production to combustion – compared to fossil fuel. These non-fossil fuel sources meet strict sustainability criteria. They do not compete with the food chain and are not made from palm oil.

Air France is taking action to reduce the environmental impact of its activities, including incorporating more fuel efficient and quieter latest-generation aircraft into its fleet, eco-piloting, and an increased use of sustainable aviation fuel.
