First, we must offer a wee apology for the late arrival of this newsletter. As they say, good things come to those who wait, and we promise the treasures of the Scottish Highlands are more than worth the delay!

Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer to the Highlands, or someone looking for fresh ideas, this region never fails to amaze – brimming with experiences you won’t want to miss. 

The local food and drink scene is buzzing. One stop that’s sure to warm your spirits is the Black Isle Brewery, where you can sip on organic craft brews – the perfect spot to soak in the authentic taste of the Highlands. Just a few doors down, pop into the Highlander for live local bands every night or drop into MacGregors for a singsong around the piano.

For those who enjoy a leisurely pace, hit the greens at our neighbouring parklands course; Inverness Golf Club. A few rounds at this scenic course, surrounded by lush landscapes, is a great way to warm up and soak up nature’s sounds and scenery in the heart of the city. You can even wake up to the view of the 10th from your Retreat Room.

Prefer an evening of culture and entertainment? Eden Court Theatre has you covered. From drama and comedy to dance and live music, this venue offers an eclectic mix of performances that showcase both local talent and international acts. A perfect way to end a day exploring! Astronomer and author VirtualAstro brings his Night Sky show to the stage at the end of this month and Simon Reeve, adventurer has two talks lined up in November!

No trip to the Highlands would be complete without a visit to the iconic Loch Ness. For history buffs, a venture further afield will take you to the remarkable Fort George, one of the most well-preserved 18th-century fortresses in the world.
