| Meet Jie.
Jie decided to try the Spartan Kids Race last year on a whim, when his family moved across the US last summer. Despite his disability, Jie has always been determined to adapt and accomplish things in his own way. “He amazes me with his tenacity and determination,” Jie’s mom says. “As a mom, I’ve learned to give him the ability to recognize his body and what he can do even if it means setting aside some of my own reservations.” This year, Jie’s goal is to earn a Trifecta medal! |

| VERY FIRST KIDS EURO CHAMPS HIT THE START BLOCKS! |
| In May, we saw the very first Kids European Championship head to the rolling English hills of Henley-on-Thames. The event showcased some of the best young talent from across Europe. Our young racers tackled a challenging course featuring Spartan favourites from the adult course, including Slackline and Olympus, which tested their speed, agility, and strength as they battled for their podium spots.
Libbie Joyce, one of the rising stars amongst the Elite Female Racers, also got her chance to head back to the Kids Course in her first-ever role as Event Director – drawing on her knowledge and expertise from her time racing as a child and her current experience as an Elite racer to mentor and inspire the next generation of future Spartans!
