Tiny morsels from the world of Tablet

Our lead story last week was about Cambodia, which is in the news for a border conflict with Thailand (though tensions are reportedly easing). The timing was an unfortunate coincidence, but the story is a nice entrée into a lovely country.

If this week’s lead story doesn’t quench your thirst for Colombian treetop hotels, take a sip of the Bio Habitat Hotel in Armenia (then read our in-depth profile of the property, here).

Speaking of trees, does My Arbor – Dolomites count as a treehouse hotel? If so, it’s the biggest in Italy by a wide margin — and newly added to our selection.

Continuing on with the trees theme, the most clicked-upon link in last week’s newsletter was for Sweden’s Treehotel.

It’s true, Aman is getting into the luxury yacht game. The Amangati will launch later this year, sailing the Mediterranean. Until then, another uniquely fascinating Aman is Amankora, five lodges spread across central and western Bhutan.

Believe it or not, Amankora is not the only luxury hotel in Bhutan with five lodges spread around the country. May we introduce Six Senses Bhutan.

There aren’t many hotels with Three MICHELIN Stars and Three MICHELIN Keys. La Réserve Paris (with its restaurant, Le Gabriel) is one such hotel.

Another? The SingleThread Inn in Healdsburg, California. Check out The Rarest Bird, our expanded look at the hotel.

The longest stay booked on Tablet this week was 10 nights at The Bloomsbury in London, located within striking distance of many of the city’s brainiest landmarks.

Last week we told you about our hotels in Las Vegas. We also have hotels in other heavily touristed North American resort towns like Orlando and Cancun.

Our hotel of the week is Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya. Giraffes do wander the grounds here and yes, you can feed them through your window.
