The Battle of the Flowers of Córdoba parade in May ushers in a month of springtime events bursting with Córdoban essence.
|
The celebrations continue with the Courtyards of Córdoba Festival. At this festival – a UNESCO World Heritage event – you can visit more than 50 courtyards decorated with floral displays for the contest, alongside concerts and musical performances.
|
The Feria de Córdoba (Córdoba Fair) is another must, boasting more than 100 stalls that bring you the best of flamenco, music and traditional cuisine.

Travel to Seville at Easter and get swept away by the emotion of processions accompanied by hauntingly beautiful ‘saeta’ singing. Savour sweets like pestiños (honey fritters) and torrijas (cinnamon toast); just some of the traditional Spanish cuisine typical of the festivities.

The celebrations continue with the Feria de Abril (April Fair) just two weeks later, bringing Seville to life with flamenco costumes, ‘sevillana’ music and dancing, Spanish guitars and nights illuminated by lights and lanterns. Don’t forget to try some pescaíto (fish) and a little rebujito (sherry cocktail).
