Tiny morsels from the world of Tablet

The White Lotus finale finally happened, and some of its climactic scenes took place on the Bill Bensley-designed overwater catwalks at Anantara Mai Khao in Phuket. Similar fates, we’re certain, shall not befall you.

Speaking of catwalks over water, Viceroy Los Cabos has a few of their own by architect Miguel Ángel Aragonés. Follow them to Nido, a sushi restaurant as well as one of the more innovative indoor-outdoor spaces we’ve ever seen.

Our hotel of the week is Seven Secrets by Hanging Gardens, an intimate Indonesian resort on a crescent-shaped white-sand beach, lined with coconut palms and facing a dazzling expanse of clear turquoise water.

We’re thrilled to hear that a new Zannier hotel will be opening in 2026 on the iconic French island of Île de Bendor. We suggest using the occasion to read our story from a few years ago about how Zannier hotels are “Total Art”.

Let’s talk Tablet Plus. Our members love complimentary breakfast, and they get it at a bunch of top hotels around the world, like Sunset Tower in L.A., Sun Gardens in Dubrovnik, and Fauchon Hôtel in Paris.

New this week, Scribner’s Catskills Lodge and River Lodge Paso Robles are restored, reimagined mid-century gems just a couple hours outside New York and Los Angeles, respectively. See more new hotel picks from our editors.

The longest stay booked on Tablet this week was 14 nights at Zel Mallorca, a lively beachfront resort and the first hotel from Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal.

Don’t forget, hotels are always on sale.

As you learned above, we mention Oscar Wilde quite a bit in our hotel write-ups. Wes Anderson gets his flowers fairly often as well, like with Bonk Suites in Belgium, which looks like something from one of the director’s films.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
