Sakura (桜) is the Japanese word for cherry blossom. It is a significant symbol in Japanese culture and represents the beauty and transience of life. Cherry blossoms typically bloom in the springtime and are celebrated during the annual hanami festival, where people gather to view and appreciate their beauty.

Where To See Them: 
Cherry blossoms can be found throughout Japan, but some of the best places to see them include Shinjuku Gyoen (Tokyo), Maruyama Park (Kyoto), Hirosaki Park (Aomori).

When Is The Best Time To See Them: 
Late March – early May

The best time to see cherry blossoms varies depending on the location and weather. In most parts of Japan, the Sakura usually bloom from late March to early April, but in some areas, the bloom can start as early as late January or as late as early May.
