HAKONE & TAKAYAMA

Spend your morning in Tokyo at your own pace before we head to the stunning Hakone region. Enjoy a scenic walking tour, a boat ride on Lake Ashinoko, and breathtaking views of Mount Fuji from the Owakudani Cable Car. On Day 4, ride the Shinkansen Bullet Train to the charming mountain town of Takayama. Explore the Hida Folk Village with your expert local guide to discover traditional thatched-roof homes and gain insight into life during the Edo Period.

TAKAYAMA & HIROSHIMA

Start your day in Takayama with a guided visit to its famous morning market, established over 600 years ago. Explore the Merchant House and Takayama Jinja Shrine before enjoying the rest of the day exploring this charming, historic town. On Day 6, travel by express train to Hiroshima. Explore Peace Memorial Park, the A-Bomb Dome, and the Peace Memorial Museum to learn about Hiroshima’s history and resilience following the 1945 atomic bomb tragedy. In the evening, wander Hiroshima at your leisure.

MIYAJIMA ISLAND & NIJO CASTLE

Explore the enchanting Miyajima Island, just an hour from Hiroshima, known as the ‘romantic shrine island.’ Visit the iconic floating Torii Gate and Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, then ride the cable car up Mt Misen for breathtaking 360-degree views of the inland sea. Arrive in Kyoto, the cultural and historic heart of Japan. Visit Nijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring the stunning Ninomaru Palace adorned with gold and wood carvings. Stroll through its beautiful gardens before checking into your hotel!

KYOTO

Spend a full day uncovering Kyoto‘s cultural treasures as you explore the city by public bus. Your guide will take you to some of Kyoto’s most iconic spots—shrines, temples, markets, or museums—tailored to the season! With your day-pass, enjoy the afternoon free to continue exploring Kyoto at your leisure.

On Day 10, take advantage of your free day to dive deeper into Kyoto or venture into nearby towns! Your guide will be happy to offer tips for your leisure time!

MOUNT KOYA

Today, we’ll journey from Kyoto to Mount Koya! This magical mountaintop Buddhist community is home to over 100 temples and the serene Okunoin Cemetery. Explore sacred sites like Kongobuji Temple and experience a traditional Shukubo stay (Buddhist temple lodging)! The next morning, witness the moving Goma Ritual—a unique prayer ceremony involving fire, chanting, and taiko drums. Then, we’ll head to Osaka and spend the afternoon exploring vibrant markets and the cool vibes of Shinsekai.

OSAKA

Start your day diving into the vibrant energy of Osaka! First, explore Kuromon Market, a bustling hub of over 150 food stalls offering everything from fresh seafood and sushi to yakitori and traditional sweets. Next, visit the iconic Osaka Castle and admire its impressive gates, stone moats, and rich history. Wander through Dotonbori, the city’s neon-lit heart! On Day 14, enjoy your final and take one last stroll through Osaka’s charming backstreets, bidding farewell to new friends until the next adventure!
